Regency Style Cornices

Strictly speaking, the Regency Period is the ten years from 1811 to 1820 when the Prince Regent reigned in lieu of his father George III. Sometimes the term is used to include the period to 1837 when the Prince Regent ruled as King George IV. During this period many of England’s landmark buildings were built, including Brighton Pavilion, Covent Garden and Carlton House. The decorative plasterwork of the period took the embellishment style of the Georgian era and toned them down to a very fine and delicate subtle effect.

We have a vast library of Regency style embellishments and can juxtapose them to great effect. Here is a select sample of our Regency Style Cornices.
